Growing up on a fourth generation family farm in Buckingham County, Virginia, David Wise understands firsthand the challenges faced by farmers and business owners living in rural Virginia. David's family raised broiler chickens, layers, beef cattle, hogs, veal calves, and sheep on their farm. His parents instilled in him, from a very young age, a strong work ethic and the importance of integrity and helping others.
David graduated from Virginia Tech in 1989 with a degree in poultry science and worked in the poultry industry before becoming an insurance agent. He has served the insurance needs of his clients for over 16 years. David lives on part of his family's farm, near Willis Mountain in Buckingham County, Virginia, with his wife, Sherri, and their two children.
What sets his insurance agency apart from the rest? David meets with his clients at their home, farm, or office, at their convenience. This is a tremendous benefit to busy farmers, business owners, and hard-working families. He takes a personal interest in getting to know each of his clients so that he can tailor a plan of insurance according to their needs, instead of using a "one size fits all" approach to insurance.
David is a strong believer in knowing the latest about the insurance industry to better serve your needs. He has earned numerous designations, including LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow), CLTC (Certified in Long-Term Care), AFIS (Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist), and FSS (Financial Services Specialist). David is dedicated to having the knowledge which you'll come to depend on.
