Here we grow again!  Family owned, multiline insurance agency is seeking a Life and Health Insurance Agent to become part of our agency team. Candidates must possess skills to provide quality customer service to new and existing Life, Annuity, Health, and Long-Term Care insurance clients.  Ideal candidate would be friendly, yet professional, detail-oriented, self-directed, and organized.  This position can be full time or part time depending on candidate’s qualifications, needs, and availability.   

Requirements & Experience:

Current Virginia Life & Annuities plus Health insurance licenses required.  Must be current with all continuing education (C.E.) requirements for the current biennium and in good standing with all regulatory bodies and past insurance companies with whom you have been appointed.  Must possess strong people skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency with office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, and a strong desire and willingness to learn new computer quoting and agency management software. Agricultural, equine, or general farm background is a plus as we specialize in assisting farm and agribusiness clients with all of their insurance needs.  Prior experience with estate planning, life insurance and retirement planning (Annuities, IRAs, SEPs), Medicare supplements, Long-Term Care Insurance, individual and group health insurance is also a plus.  You control your schedule but will need to be able to meet with clients at their convenience which will generally mean some early evening appointments at least one to two nights per week.
